PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium supply device and an image forming device capable of suppressing paper delivery noise generated due to rapid tension change of paper at low cost without deteriorating the functions of a paper feeding device. SOLUTION: Since the nip tangent direction of a pair of carrying rollers 26 in the downstream side approximately corresponds to the direction of a nip part of a feed roller 23 and a retard roller 24, a tip of paper P is nipped by the pair of carrying rollers 26. This prevents rapid posture change of the paper P even after tension is released, and can suppress delivery noise of the paper P caused by the posture change. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
