PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm of a suspension strong in terms of structure and suitable for being manufactured by a smaller quantity of a scrap at low cost. SOLUTION: A member 2 particularly adapted to the arm 1 of the suspension of an automobile has a box-like structure having a pair of molded parts 3 and 4 arranged to face each other. The molded parts 3 and 4 are obtained from integral plates 3' and 4' of a semi-finished product 2' to be a substantially flat molded member manufactured from a plastically deformable member in a sheet form by folding the molded member 2' along at least one of predetermined lines 16 and 17 to dispose the plates 3' and 4' to face each other.
