<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate two kinds of gear shift operation even if using tip ends of fingers, in an electric gear shift operating device. <P>SOLUTION: The brake and gear shift operating device 110a comprise a brake bracket 30f, a brake lever 31f, a first gear shift operating member 42r, a second gear shift operating member 44r, a first electric switch, and a second electric switch. The brake bracket can be equipped to a handle lever. The brake lever is equipped to the brake bracket. The first gear shift operating member is movably connecred to the brake lever. The second gear shift operating member is movably connected to the brake lever, and separated from the first gear shift operating member. The first electric switch can be operated by the first gear shift operating member. The second electric switch can be operated by the second gear shift operating member.
