摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear ion accelerator in which injection efficiency is improved in order to make charged particles inject into a circular accelerator of the rear stage as an injection device by reducing the momental dispersion of emitting beams, and its design method. SOLUTION: In an APF type linear ion accelerator, the electrode length of a cylindrical electrode 2 arranged in a plurality of pieces on a straight line in an acceleration cavity 1 is made as a length in which a postively/negatively increasing/decreasing vibration component along the traveling direction in a prescribed period is added to a length proportional to the traveling speed of the particle beams passing through the cylindrical electrode 2, and furthermore, the cylindrical electrode 2b at the beam emitting end is made to have an arrangement and an electrode length so that the vibration component becomes 0 at a site where the vibration component moves from a negative to a positive.
