PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capacity management device capable of determining a proper actual capacity, by changing the actual capacity, depending on the state of the battery. SOLUTION: A battery capacity management device 20 comprise a charge and discharge amount integrating part 32 for detecting voltage and current of a drive battery 21 and calculating the discharge amount; a battery temperature sensor 22 for detecting the temperature of the battery 21; a memory 33; and an actual capacity computing part 34. The memory 33 stores map data, showing the relation among the voltage, current, and temperatures of the drive battery 21, when a remaining capacity of the drive battery 21 has reached a predetermined set value. The actual capacity computing part 34 calculates the actual capacity of the drive battery 21, based on the amount discharged from when the drive battery 21 is charged, until the voltage detected by the charge and discharge amount integrating part 32 reaches the voltage value of the map data corresponding to the current value and the temperature.
