PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a predetermined position for a moving club shape body with high precision. SOLUTION: The position detection device for detecting the predetermined position for the club shape body included in a photographed image has an imaging means for imaging the club shape body moving over time, a motion area detection means to detect the motion area for each of the frames from the image to be obtained by the above-described imaging means, a straight line detection means to detect the straight line corresponding to the above-described club shape body from the motion area to be obtained by the above-described motion area detection means, an image coordinates capture means to acquire the coordinates in the image of the predetermined position of the above-described club shape body, included in the above-described image, based on each of the straight lines to be obtained by the above-described straight line detection means to two frames in a row, a parameter capture means to acquire the parameter at the time of the photography in the above-described imaging means, and a three dimensional coordinate capture means to capture the three dimensional coordinates of the above-described predetermined position from the above-described parameter to be acquired by the above-described parameter capture means and the image coordinates to be acquired by the above-described image coordinates capture means.
