PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure rice cooker providing an efficient agitating effect when agitating cooked objects in a pot, by pressurizing and decompressing a pot inside. SOLUTION: This pressure rice cooker includes: the pot for putting the cooked objects therein; a rice cooker body having an opening part and a heating means; a lid body for closing the opening part; a pressure valve having an opening/closing mechanism for communicating the pot inside with outside air or cutting off the communication; a pressure valve opening mechanism attached to the pressure valve; and a control means for controlling the heating amount of the heating means and the pressure valve opening mechanism, wherein the control means controls the cooking by alternately executing the pressurization and the decompression in a boiling retaining process in a series of cooking processes. This pressure rice cooker has a thin-sheet inner plate detachably mounted on an inner bottom part of the pot and the inner plate is formed with a plurality of recesses or holes having a width or a diameter smaller than the grain size of the cooking object.
