PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbubble generator generating microbubbles with a uniform bubble size. SOLUTION: The microbubble generator is provided with a dissolved water manufacturing means manufacturing gas dissolved water with gas dissolved in water, and a bubble generating nozzle 49 generating microbubbles from the dissolved water supplied from the dissolved water manufacturing means. The dissolved water manufacturing means is provided with a pump 11 for mixing water with air to form mixed water, and a gas dissolving device 27 for dissolving gas. The gas dissolving device 27 is provided with a flow-in port 33 provided at an upper part of a sealed vessel 29 and dipped in a slightly lower position from the level of the mixed water flowing from the pump 11 in the vessel 29, and a discharge valve 37 discharging surplus gas in the mixed water at an upper end part of the vessel 29. A flow-out port 43 provided near the bottom of the vessel 29 is directed downward near to the bottom 29B of the vessel 29 in a region of low flow speed of water from the flow-in port to the flow-out port, in order to suck water with small non-dissolved bubbles removed by floating up small bubbles not dissolved in the mixed water.
