<p>A car navigation device has a distance sensor (2), an angular velocity sensor (1) for detecting angular velocity with the vertical direction of the casing as the detection axis of the sensor, an acceleration sensor (3) for detecting the acceleration of the casing with the horizontal longitudinal direction of the casing as the detection axis of the sensor, means (42) for measuring the speed and acceleration of a vehicle body in the advance direction of the vehicle body according to a signal from the distance sensor, means (41) for measuring angular velocity according to a signal from the angular velocity sensor, means (43) for estimating theroll angle of the vehicle body according to the speed in the advance direction and angular velocity, means (45) for outputting the estimated value of the output signal from the acceleration sensor for each predetermined angle when the casing is installed on the vehicle body while being rotated in the yaw direction, and means (46) for setting, as a vehicle body mounting angle in the yaw direction, an angle at which an estimated value closest to a value obtained by deducting an offset component from the signal transmitted from the acceleration sensor.</p> |
