<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage controller capable of reducing maintenance work by a user by irreplaceably mounting respective components in an enclosure. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of disk drives 20 which include a spare drive and repair slots 40 are arranged close to each other like a matrix on the front side of the inside of the enclosure 2. A back board 30 is disposed on the rear of respective disk drives 20. A plurality of control boards 10 is arranged on the rear of the backboards so as to be stacked one atop the other. A plurality of disk drives 20 and a plurality of batteries 60 stacked one atop the other respectively are arranged on one side part of respective control boards 10. A plurality of power supply devices 50 stacked one atop the other are arranged on the other side part of respective control boards 10. A plurality of cooling fans 71, 72 are arranged on the center part of the enclosure 2. Respective components 10, 20, 30, 50, 60, 71, 72 are fixed to the enclosure 2 so as to be irreplaceable under normal circumstances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
