<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device using a DBF (Digital Beam Forming) technique, capable of satisfying both of a long distance detecting performance and a short distance wide-angle monitoring. <P>SOLUTION: In the radar device using the digital beam forming technique which radiates waves in a space, receives a reflection wave reflected by an object existing in the space and carries out a measurement of the object by applying a signal processing to the received reflection wave, a transmitting antenna 3 is disposed which irradiates an observation area with waves, wherein different necessary maximum distances are envisioned for respective azimuths, and which has such the directional pattern that transmission gains of respective azimuths are set based on distance attenuation characteristics of the necessary maximum distances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
