PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ejection control method for a liquid droplet ejection head and the like, which can make the amount of ejection of a liquid droplet and the like variable by a simple method. SOLUTION: The liquid droplet ejection head comprises a nozzle 31, a channel which communicates with the nozzle 31, an individual electrode 12, and a diaphragm 22 which is supported as a part of the channel in such a manner as to face the individual electrode 12 at a predetermined distance. The ejection control method for the liquid droplet ejection head comprises; a step of displacing the diaphragm 22 to a position, where a predetermined interval is set between the diaphragm 22 and the individual electrode 12, by applying a first voltage between the diaphragm 22 and the individual electrode 12 so as to generate an electrostatic force; and a step of subsequently ejecting the liquid droplet by furthermore applying a driving voltage as a second voltage for ejecting the liquid droplet between the diaphragm 22 and the individual electrode 12, generating the electrostatic force between the diaphragm 22 and the individual electrode 12, and displacing the diaphragm 22 so as to pressurize a liquid in the channel.
