摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetization method of a servo pattern having a servo signal of double amplitudes for eliminating the necessity of intensity change and waveform shaping when the servo signal is reproduced, enhancing accuracy of head positioning and enhancing track recording density. SOLUTION: The magnetization method of the servo pattern of a perpendicular recording discrete track medium using a master disk includes a step for transferring the servo signal composed of two magnetization groups whose directions are perpendicular to a substrate and opposed to each other to a servo region by using a magnetic field leaked from a soft magnetic layer provided on the master disk in a position corresponding to the servo pattern.
