PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a seal oil system and downsize a vacuum tank, relating to a vacuum treatment type seal oil treater which supplies seal oil to the shaft sealing section of a dynamo-electric machine charged with coolant gas, for example, hydrogen gas. SOLUTION: The seal oil treater includes a sealer 2 which encapsulates cooling gas by supplying the seal oil to the shaft sealing section of the dynamo-electric machine 1 charged with cooling gas. The seal oil having flown out of the machine of the dynamo-electric machine 1 from the shaft sealing section is degassed in vacuum in a vacuum tank 9, and is sent to the shaft sealing section by a seal oil pump 12. The seal oil having flown out into the machine of the dynamo-electric machine 1 from the shaft sealing section is boosted by a boosting pump 28, and this boosted seal oil joins the seal oil discharged by a seal oil pump 12.
