PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap type motor having a simple configuration, capable of reducing cogging torque or a torque ripples without deteriorating the characteristics. SOLUTION: A three-phase coil 13 of a first stator 10 and a three-phase coil 23 of a second stator 20 are centrally wound so that the phases are each sequentially wound in a circumferential direction, and are wound in the same direction as viewed from the rotor side. A piece of teeth 22 having a W-phase coil 23 of the second stator 20 is wound therearound is disposed on a portion corresponding to the intermediate portion of a piece of teeth 12 having U- and V-phase coils 13 are wound therearound in the first stator 10, a piece of teeth 22 having a U-phase coil 23 of the second stator 20 is wound therearound is disposed on a portion corresponding to the intermediate portion of a piece of teeth 12 having V- and W-phase coils 13 are wound therearound in the first stator 10, and a piece of teeth 22 having a V-phase coil 23 of the second stator 20 is disposed on a portion corresponding to the intermediate portion of each of teeth 12 having W- and U-phase coils 13 are wound therearound in the first stator 10.
