PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the inconvenience that when speakers and headphones are available to a user who listens to sound of audio equipment, the listener needs to connect or disconnect the headphones to or from a headphone terminal for switching between the both. SOLUTION: Either or both of an audio equipment main body 1 and a remote controller are provided with a speaker/headphone changeover switch 4 and while the headphones are connected to the headphone terminal 3, the changeover switch 4 is operated to determine whether the speakers or headphones is used to listen to the sound.
