PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator excellent in starting characteristic. SOLUTION: In the crystal oscillator configured by connecting an oscillation amplifier 2 to both terminals of a resonance circuit 1 constituted of a crystal vibrator 3 and divided capacitors C1, C3 as inductance components, a restriction resistor R1 is connected between an output side of the oscillation amplifier and the crystal vibrator and further, a feedback capacitor C2 is connected between a connecting point of the crystal vibrator and the restriction resistor and an output side of a buffer amplifier provided on a post-stage of the oscillation amplifier, such that a signal is fed back through the crystal vibrator, thereby obtaining a crystal oscillator excellent in the starting characteristics without being deviated from the fundamental frequency of the crystal vibrator.
