The invention relates to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, particula rly to the use of nucleic acid agents capable of silencing H19 for the treat ment of rheumatoid arthritis. The invention provides methods for amelioratin g rheumatoid arthritis and symptoms associated therewith, utilizing gene sil encing oligonucleotides such as small interfering RNA (siRNA) agents directe d to H19.
