<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device of an active matrix type in which the electric power consumption of a signal line drive circuit and eventually, electric power consumption over the entire part of the device can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: Memory circuits capable of writing the data of video signals inputted to pixels in one line period and holding the data are disposed in a plurality in a signal line drive circuit of the display device. The data held in each of the memory circuits is inputted as the video signal into the pixel of the corresponding line. By installing the two or more memory circuits in the drive circuit, holding of the data of the video signals corresponding to the two or more lines, in parallel with the memory circuits, becomes made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
