PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a visual inspection time of an inspection object, and to reduce a memory capacity for preserving images.

SOLUTION: This visual inspection device 101 for determining acceptance of an appearance of the inspection object is characterized by having a plurality of cameras 160a, 160b for imaging the inspection object 50 or 60; an inspection processing part 230 for determining acceptance of the appearance of the inspection object based on an image of the inspection object; and an image synthesis/non-synthesis part 220 provided between the plurality of cameras and the inspection processing part, for performing either of a synthetic image output mode and a non-synthetic image output mode.
