PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a noise or the like from being outputted with a large sound volume from an on-vehicle acoustic instrument when power supply to the on-vehicle acoustic instrument is carried out during engine starting in a power supply control system for the on-vehicle acoustic instrument. SOLUTION: The starting of a vehicle engine is detected based on whether or not starting operation is carried out by a vehicle driver. When the starting of the vehicle engine is detected (step 100), the power supply to the on-vehicle acoustic instrument is maintained and the sound volume of a speaker which the on-vehicle acoustic instrument has is suppressed lower than a set sound volume as a principle (step 104). However, when the starting of the vehicle is failed, even if the starting of the vehicle engine is detected, the power supply to the on-vehicle acoustic instrument is inhibited (step 106).
