PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable independent high-low adjustment of damping forces on the elongation side and the compression side generated when a damper is extended/contracted. SOLUTION: A front fork equipped with the built-in damper has a cylinder 1 which serves as the bottom member with the damper of double-rod type installed in the fork body set in an upset form and is hung over a wheel side tube T2, wherein the arrangement includes damping parts 2a and 2b to admit reciprocating motions of a working oil between two oil chambers R1 and R2 partitioned inside the cylinder 1 by a piston 2 constituting the damper, and further has a reserver 10 with its bottom member B blocking the bottom of the wheel side tube T2 formed in gas-liquid separate type, a compression side damping part 11 to admit the flow of the working oil from the tube T2 into the reserver 10, and an adjusting part 12 to adjust the rate of oil flow passing through a bypass detouring the compression side damping part 11, and a bulkhead 6 is installed between the cylinder 1 and the tube T2, and the under-part of the bulkhead 6 is filled with the working oil.
