PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full open lock device for a vehicle door capable of stably releasing a full open lock, having excellent durability, and manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: This full open lock device for a vehicle door comprises a four-link hinge 10 having a first hinge base 11 secured to a vehicle body B, a second hinge base 12 secured to a slide door 1, and a pair of hinge arms 13, 14 for rotatably connecting the first hinge base 11 and the second hinge base 12 to each other, a full open lock mechanism 20 for restraining the movement of the slide door 1 when the slide door 1 is fully opened, and a releasing mechanism 30 for releasing the restraint of the movement of the slide door 1 by the full open lock mechanism 20. The full open lock mechanism 20 comprises a striker 21 installed at the end of the hinge arm 14 and a pole 25 fitted to the second hinge base 12 and engaged with the striker 21 when the slide door 1 is fully opened.
