摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed of particle behavior calculation when the behavior of a particle to be analyzed has higher importance in the characteristic of a particle than a fluid. <P>SOLUTION: A pickup area is divided into a plurality of small analysis areas and developer particles are arranged in the respective small analysis areas to analyze the particle behavior (S212). A moving boundary position is specified based on an initial arrangement position that is a critical point as to whether or not the particles are attracted to a developing roll side based on a result of analysis (S214). A plane connecting the moving boundary positions of the respective small analysis areas is defined as the moving boundary surface of the developer particles in the entire space to be analyzed (S220). The particle behavior calculation according to an individual element method where magnetic force, contact force and gravity act is applied (S234) to the developer particles attracted to the developing roll over the moving boundary surface (S232-YES).
