<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth magnet which has high coercive force while suppressing lowering of magnetic flux density, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A rare earth magnet M consists of a crystal grain 1 whose major phase is R1<SB>2</SB>T<SB>14</SB>B phase (wherein R1 is at least one kind selected from rare earth elements except Dy and Tb, and T is at least one kind selected from transition metal elements), and in the crystal grain 1, R2<SB>2</SB>T<SB>14</SB>B phase (R2 is any one kind selected from heavy rare earth elements) is formed in an area 3 near its crystal grain boundary, and a grain diameter of the crystal grain 1 is at most 1 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
