<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine from stalling or rotating reversely. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program including: a step (S102) of increasing or decreasing the number of rotations of a first MG coupled to a sun gear of a power distribution mechanism in the case of selection of an N range (YES, in S100) and executing synchronous control so as to make the number of rotations of a ring gear NR as the number of target rotations NR(T); a step (S114) of prohibiting the synchronous control if the number of rotations of the engine NE is not larger that a threshold A that is a negative value (YES, in S112) during the stop of the engine coupled to a carrier (YES, in S104); and a step (S134) of prohibiting the synchronous control if the number NE is not larger than a threshold B that is a positive value (YES, in S132) during an autonomous operation of the engine (YES, in S120). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
