<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit capable of performing dot position shift processing without pattern matching, making an image data obtain high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing unit includes a noticed pixel enlargement processor 2 for dividing, with a grid shape, a noticed pixel P0 in an original image data into first pixels Q of 16 in number, which equals to concentration gradations, and for generating enlarged noticed pixel data G3 representing the noticed pixels P0 with 16 first pixels Q by setting each concentration value of the first pixels Q to be a concentration value obtained after interpolating a concentration value difference between each pixel P1-P8 and the noticed pixel P0; a threshold data generator 3 for generating a concentration order data G4, indicating an order number obtained by arranging each concentration value of the first pixels Q in order, based on the magnitude relationship of each concentration value Q, as a threshold data G5; and a binary image generator 4 for generating a data binarized from each concentration value of the first pixels Q based on each value of the first pixels Q of the threshold data G5, as a binary image data having higher resolution than the original image data G1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
