<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly perform voice output of each compound word by storing voice data corresponding to each compound word. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic dictionary 1 which is a voice output device is equipped with; a voice database 83 which matches voice data to each compound word and stores it; a display part 40 which displays text; an input part 30 which specifies any of words in the text displayed in the display part 40 as a specified word based on user operation; a CPU 20 which detects a compound word which is shown in the text with a specified word at the head by the display part 40 and whose voice data is stored by the voice database 83; and a voice output part 50 which carries out voice output of the voice data corresponding to the compound word detected by the CPU 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
