<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine capable of picking up reliably the top electrode of the ignition plug with the lower terminal of the protector and of connecting it with a conductive body. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition coil is produced by a method comprising: producing a protector main body 32 as an integrated body with a silicone rubber having flexibility and insulation; providing a sealing canopy part 33s covering the upper surfaces of the plug holes 52h, 53h around the outer circumference of the upper terminal part 32U of the protector main body 32; and making the outer diameter of the central part 32M of protector main body 32 less than the outer diameters of the upper terminal part 32U of the protector main body 32 and lower terminal part 32D of the protector main body 32 to make the clearance between the inner diameter hd of the plug holes 52h, 53h and the outer diameter of the lower terminal part 32D of the protector main body 32 to be 0.5 to 2.0 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
