摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make external piping for secondary air compact in a V-type engine and to reduce its overall height and longitudinal length. <P>SOLUTION: In the V-type engine, throttle devices 21 and 22 are arranged between cylinders 1 and 2 disposed in V-shaped arrangement, and an air cleaner 24 is installed above the throttle devices 21 and 22. Secondary air pipes 51 and the like are connected to secondary air introduction parts formed on the outer circumferential wall faces of the respective cylinders 1 and 2, and below the throttle devices 21 and 22, a secondary air opening/closing valve 44 is installed to be substantially housed inside a V-shaped bank between the respective cylinders 1 and 2. A secondary air inlet 45 for the secondary air opening/closing valve 44 is connected to the inside of the air cleaner 24 by means of a secondary air supply pipe 41 extended upward, and the secondary air pipes 51 and the like for the respective cylinders are individually connected to secondary air outlets for the respective cylinders formed in the secondary air opening/closing valve 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
