PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle housing, and an assembling method thereof, capable of restricting move of a bearing cap for a drive shaft, and sufficiently securing the length of back weld of a cover member, without causing weight increase of the cover member. SOLUTION: A cut part 10F is formed at a corresponding part to a final drive bearing part abutment member 3 of a housing member 10. A welding device 50 is composed from the cut part 10F to a back weld position of the axle cover part 14 to be capable of approaching them.
