PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an aid which can be easily carried and used immediately on the spot is demanded since there is a lot of work in a half-sitting position for the light work of machine assembly, trial run adjustment, and wiring and piping, work time at the height is long, pains and fatigue are generated by the burdens of body weight put on the feet, the knees and the lower back, and a work place is often changed. SOLUTION: In order to carry and operate the vertically movable saddle for light work anywhere, a battery power source 10 is used, a ball screw 3 is driven by a geared motor 4 with a brake and the saddle 14 is elevated and lowered corresponding to the work height. In order to easily execute the height adjustment of the saddle 14, operation push buttons 13a and 13b are arranged at such a position that they are not erroneously operated while sitting on the saddle.
