PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide heat pump type equipment such as a water heater or a heater of high reliability and high efficiency by proposing various forms for lowering the temperature of lubricating oil returned to a compressor. SOLUTION: The heat pump type equipment comprises an oil separator 2 disposed between a compressor 1 and a high pressure side heat exchanger 3 constituting a refrigerant circuit, to separate lubricating oil included in refrigerant gas discharged from the compressor 1; an oil return circuit 10 returning the lubricating oil separated in the oil separator 2, to the compressor 1; heated fluid piping 7 connected to the high pressure side heat exchanger 3 and allowing a heated fluid heat-exchanged with a refrigerant passing through the high pressure side heat exchanger 3 and put to use, to flow through, and a lubricating oil heat exchanger 8 exchanging heat between lubricating oil flowing through the oil return circuit 10 and the heated fluid flowing through the heated fluid piping 7.
