STANDOFF RADIATION DETECTION SYSTEM

A standoff radiation detection and identification system is capable of detecting radiation from remote locations, such as at distances of 10O feet or more. The system can verify radiation associated with vehicles or vessels prior to them entering sensitive areas. The ability to detect radiation at standoff distances enables the interception of the vehicle or vessel for further analysis. The system combines standoff radiation detection with interceptors that can be deployed for further close range analysis of a source of radiation.
