<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station-side device capable of establishing synchronization quickly with respect to an up signal of each transmission rate, in a multirate PON system wherein terminal devices have a plurality of kinds of upstream transmission rates. <P>SOLUTION: This station side device 1 forms the PON system together with a plurality of terminal devices 2-4 connected by one-to-many via optical fibers 5, 7-9, and manages by a time division multiplexing system, up signals of a plurality of transmission rates transmitted from the terminal devices 2-4. This station side device 1 is provided with a management part 106 for storing the plurality of transmission rates, giving grant to the terminal devices 2-4 for communication in an upstream direction and moreover specifying the time for receiving the next up signal corresponding to each grant and its transmission rate, and a reproduction part 113 for reproducing the clock of the up signal and data according to the time and transmission rate specified by the management part 106. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
