<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease manufacturing cost while maintaining the accuracy of a finished chassis of a backlight device. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device 3 is irradiated with a light from the back of a transmissive display panel 5 held by a middle chassis 6 and has a side frame 15 and a back plate 16, wherein the side frame 15 and the back plate 16 constituting the chassis are configured as different components and a fitting section is formed in each joint portion between the middle chassis 6 and the side frame 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
