<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning machine capable of simultaneously displaying reference sound, and pitch deviation between input sound and the reference sound, by light emitting elements arranged in matrix. <P>SOLUTION: The tuning machine of the invention comprises: a pitch detection section for detecting the pitch of the input sound; a note discrimination section for discriminating a note from the pitch of the input sound detected by the pitch detection section; a pitch deviation discrimination section for calculating the pitch deviation between the pitch and the reference pitch which is defined by the note; a display section including the light emitting elements arranged in matrix; and a display control section for controlling a display section.
