PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat collection device accurately determining steam leak in a system of a waste heat collection means using Rankine cycle. SOLUTION: The waste heat collection device 1 is provided with a steam leak determination means determining steam leak in the waste heat collection device collecting waste heat via steam based on information acquired from each part of an engine. Steam leak in the waste heat collection means is determined based on comparison of predicted collection work done calculated from information acquired from each part of the engine and actual measured collection work done by expander provided in the waste heat collection means.
