A method for transmitting the multimedia message through the text short message, comprising : receiving the text short message from the terminal, and analysising the content of the text short message, determining whether perform the operation of text to voice or not; searching the corresponding multimedia message based on the determination result and the content of the text short message; and transmitting the multimedia message to the receiving terminal.
