DISPLAY CONTROLLER AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller and a display control method, capable of magnifying and displaying images of a content with the proper number of display pixels.

SOLUTION: An analyzing section 14 analyzes the image characteristics of an image subjected to pixel conversion by a pixel converting section 13. A pixel number determining section 15 determines the optimum number of display pixels for the content by comparing the results of the analysis by the analyzing section 14 with a predetermined threshold for deterioration determination. A pixel converting section 4 converts the number of pixels of the content into the determined optimum number of display pixels.
