<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of uniformly forming a basis amount of a membrane electrode on an electrolyte when manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the membrane electrode assembly comprises the steps of (A) preparing a first substrate having a plurality of recess sections of substantially the same shape at one surface thereof and arranged so as to be uniformly dispersed, (B) injecting catalytic ink into the respective recess sections of the first substrate so as to be filled in the respective recess sections, to form an ink-forming substance, (C) disposing the electrolyte membrane on the ink-forming substance injected into the respective recess sections, and (D) thermal compression-bonding the electrolyte membrane and the ink-forming substance to form the catalytic electrode block made of the ink-forming substance on the electrolytic membrane, after the disposition of the electrolytic membrane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
