<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformer which can be suitably used for suppressing the break of its constituent members due to thermal expansion and can be operated stably over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical outer tube 1 and a cylindrical inner tube 2 are provided concentrically and spacedly. The lower end of the outer tube 1 and that of the inner tube 2 are isolated from each other by a doughnut-like bottom plate 4. The upper end of the outer tube 1 and that of the inner tube 2 is isolated from each other by a top plate 5. The bottom plate 4 is higher in rigidity than the top plate 5, whereas the top plate 5 is higher in flexibility than the bottom plate 4. The top plate 5 permits the inner pipe 2 to stretch and contract both in the axial direction and in the radial direction, because it is higher in flexibility than the bottom plate 4. A cylindrical partition tube 7 which partitions the space therebetween into an inside space A and an outside space B is concentrically formed between the outer tube 1 and the inner tube 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
