<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence on gradation display due to the variation of Vth of an a OLED driving TFT, even if the time of a reset operation is not sufficient in an organic EL display device and to enable uniform light emission that obviates the generation of image persistence, also in the time of displaying moving picture, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the image display device, prior to making operation to reset Vth of the OLED-driving TFT by a reset TFT switch 5 and a lighting TFT switch 2, a precharge voltage is supplied from a precharge TFT switch 7 to give a prescribed voltage value to a gate voltage of the OLED-driving TFT 3, prior to the reset operation. As a result, since the gate potential of the OLED-driving TFT 3, prior to the reset operation is made no more unfixed, the variation in the gate potential after the reset is suppressed, and the variation in the gradation display is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
