PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime-preventive sensor which can correctly detect a human body with a low cost configuration. SOLUTION: Distance information from an image sensor 11 to a material object 19 is found based on an imaging signal acquired by a distance sensor 12 in a distance computing section 15b. An occupancy ratio which is a ratio occupied by an area of the material object 19 imaged by the image sensor 11 within a whole imaging field of view of the image sensor 11 is found in an occupancy percentage computing section 15a. In an actual size computing section 15c, a whole area of the view field of the image sensor 11 is found by use of viewing angle of the image sensor 11 and distance information, an actual area of the material object 19 is found by multiplying this area by the occupancy percentage, moreover, shape information of the material object 19 is found from information relating to an occupied pixel by an image sensor 11, and actual size information on the material object 19 is found from this shape information and actual area. In a determination section 16, whether the imaged material object 19 is a specific material object 19 or not is determined by comparing real area and/or real size information with comparison information which shows size of a specific material object 19.
