PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image without deteriorating a circuit element even on a large-screen panel. SOLUTION: A plasma display apparatus is characterized in that a scan electrode driving circuit includes a scan pulse generating circuit having a plurality of switch portions each having a first switching element outputting a reference potential and a second switching element outputting a voltage superposed on the reference voltage, and a voltage setting circuit setting the reference potential to a predetermined voltage, and controls outputs of switch portions into a high-impedance state when the voltage setting circuit changes the reference potential.
