摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating surface temperature of an ultrasound diagnostic probe which method calculates a rise of the surface temperature of the ultrasound diagnostic probe by drive of transducer elements and quickly and accurately estimates the surface temperature of the probe using the thermal conductivity of the probe when the ultrasound signals are generated. SOLUTION: A arrangement type tranceducer having a plurality of transducer elements is provided. The method of estimating surface temperature of an ultrasound probe diagnostic includes: (a) a step to determine the thermal conductivity of the probe; (b) a step to select one transducer element from the plurality of transducer elements; (c) a step to apply a transmission pulse signal once to the selected transducer element; (d) a step to measure temperature rises at multiple positions on the surface of the probe centering on the selected transducer element; (e) a step to determine the temperature rise function of the probe surface based on the thermal conductivity and the measured temperature rises; and (f) a step to estimate the surface temperature (temperature rise) of the probe based on the temperature rise function.
