PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a coke oven in which the deformation of furnace wall bricks during re-heating-up is suppressed. SOLUTION: The method for repairing a coke oven comprises replacing a part of oven wall bricks composing an oven wall 1 of a carbonization chamber T which separates a combustion chamber N and the carbonization chamber T. The oven wall bricks are replaced in the state where a vertically extending joint 7 (crevice) is formed in a boundary K between a part of the oven wall 1 which is repaired by replacing bricks and a part of the oven wall 1 which is not repaired, and then the oven is heated-up. After the heat-up, a flame spray coating material 12 is thermal sprayed into the crevice in the boundary K between the replaced bricks in the repaired part and the bricks in the non-repaired part.
