REFORMING FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming furnace capable improving the recovery ratio of the formed gas produced in a gasification furnace. SOLUTION: Since the reforming furnace has a rectangular tubular container 21 and a plurality of rod heating wire heaters 23 disposed across between the facing wall surfaces of the container 21 and is provided with a gas feed opening 25 and a gas discharge opening 27 at both ends of the container 21, the formed gas introduced into the reforming furnace 5 is brought into contact with the heating wire heaters 23 or is allowed to pass through near the heating wire heaters 23 to thermally decompose the tar content present in the formed gas and is reformed.
