<p>A liquid absorbing mat is disclosed, the liquid absorbing mat including a including a top layer and a bottom layer, the top layer being adapted to wick away liquid towards the bottom layer, an intermediate layer located between the top layer and the bottom layer, the intermediate layer including at least one liquid absorbing layer capable of retaining liquid therein. The bottom layer is a non-absorbing layer having a plurality of raised ribs with channels located between them, and an edge binding extending about each of the layers holding them together. In one aspect the mat includes a collection point for the liquid, and in another aspect the mat includes a pump for drawing liquid toward the collection point.</p> |
