<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight golf club shaft with excellent bending strength. <P>SOLUTION: The fiber-reinforced plastic golf club shaft has a bias layer with reinforcing fiber oriented in the direction at the angle between±15°and±80°relative to the axial direction of the shaft, and a straight layer with reinforcing fiber oriented in the axial direction of the shaft. The straight layer is disposed on the outer side of the bias layer.
